SuperGenius Moves
The SuperGenius Moves programme is inspired by the Glenn Doman approach, which has helped many children learn how to balance and sharpen their mental focus. The programme will improve children’s fitness by strengthening the spine and increasing lung capacity, thereby enhancing their brain development. Every session covers three core areas of Active Balance, Manual Competence and Mobility Competence, and together they stimulate children’s cognitive, intellectual and physical development.
Phonics & Reading
The SuperGenius Phonics & Reading programme aims to raise a reader in every child. Using a synthetic phonics approach, children are taught individual letter sounds and sight words in a fun and engaging manner. They will progressively learn how to blend using phonemes, beginning with CVC words before advancing to digraphs and other complex phonograms. After each lesson, parents are given a set of resources to continue the learning at home.
Chinese Literacy
The SuperGenius Chinese Literacy programme aims to nurture children’s passion in learning the Chinese language and help them become proficient users. Children will learn the fundamentals of Pinyin and stroke order using a pictorial approach, and develop listening and speaking skills through fun-filled activities and games. Children will develop an appreciation for the Chinese culture through The Analects of Confucius, poems from the Tang and Song dynasties, and famous Chinese adages and proverbs.
ARTistry
The SuperGenius ARTistry programme nurtures children’s creativity and self-esteem. Our workshops spark children’s imagination by introducing them to art techniques used by famous Renaissance, Modern and Contemporary artists worldwide. Children learn to think and create like an artist and gain confidence to make their own creative decisions. They will acquire artistic skills such as picture composition, colour theory, drawing, painting and craftwork.
Speech, Drama & Musicals
The SuperGenius Speech, Drama & Musicals programme works towards sparking creativity, boosting confidence and encouraging collaboration amongst children. They will be exposed to a broad range of stage performances, including public speaking, storytelling, puppetry, poetry recitals, plays and musicals. Children will learn to prepare scripts, design and build sets, and speak effectively with confidence. They will develop the performance, musical and communication skills essential to attain the Young Performers Certificate from Trinity College London.
World Music
The SuperGenius World Music programme brings children around the world to experience the joy of music. By spotlighting the different types of music genres and instruments used during festivals and celebrations, children will learn about the history, geography and culture of each place and develop a sensorial appreciation of music. Guided by the Kodály and Orff approaches, children are engaged in rhythm, movement and vocal activities that stimulate and enhance whole brain development.
Heurika Maths
The SuperGenius Heurika Maths programme uses a step-by-step approach to develop children’s mathematical concepts and numeracy skills. The Singapore Model Method is introduced as a learning and problem-solving tool with the aid of 3D manipulatives. Children will learn to apply heuristic strategies to solve real-world problems using their handmade craftwork, and develop logical thinking and spatial reasoning skills during our fun and intellectually stimulating lessons.
FutureChef
The SuperGenius FutureChef workshops allow children to learn about sustainable living through the food that we consume. Children develop an awareness about environmental sustainability by exploring food sources, nutrition and methods of preparation. Every lesson incorporates a hands-on activity where the children can prepare a delicious and healthy meal for themselves. They will learn to be grateful and to take charge of their lives.
ArtScience
The SuperGenius ArtScience programme aims to spark children’s intellectual curiosity and imagination, and inspire them to create aesthetically beautiful and innovative engineering masterpieces. During our workshops, children are empowered to explore, create and discover science concepts through hands-on experimentation and craftwork. Children will research how these science concepts are applied in real-world contexts and learn to appreciate that the artistic elegance of engineering masterpieces is more than aesthetics.
Adventures for Thinking
The SuperGenius Adventures for Thinking sessions are designed to develop thinking skills through philosophical thought adventures and questions tailored to their maturity level. Children are encouraged to ask beyond “Why?” to further develop their lines of inquiry. They will learn to listen and respect one another’s opinions, and be able to communicate with confidence and mindfulness. They will develop higher-order thinking skills such as elaboration, evaluation, empathy, collaboration, critical thinking and creative thinking.
Music Theory & Instruments
The SuperGenius Music Theory & Instruments programme aims to give children a strong foundation in Music Theory. The curriculum is guided by international music approaches such as Kodály, Orff, Dalcroze and Suzuki. Children will learn to read music scores and develop a good sense of rhythm. They will improve mathematical skills of pattern recognition and number sense and gain a head start in Mathematics. Children will train in four main instruments of keyboard, ukulele, cajón and vocals, and work towards grade certificates awarded by Trinity College London and Rockschool.
P1 Preparatory Programme
The SuperGenius Primary 1 Preparatory Programme gears kindergarten children for primary school life and curriculum so that they enter primary school with confidence and an eagerness to learn. Children are equipped with essential English language, literacy and numeracy skills to bridge any learning gaps. They will be taught time management strategies to build confidence and encourage independence. Primary 1 English and Maths curriculum will be gradually introduced to give children an early head start.
